Bound by Blood

Bound by Blood is a series that follows a pair of Irish brothers, Kieran and Sean Ferguson, who moonlight as freelance mercenaries for the preternatural community of New York City along with several of the creatures with which they interact-vampires, peris, and weres, to name a few.

This series has now expanded to include Bound by Blood: Beginnings and intersects with the Plumis Aeternum series [link] .

Character's role in the story: He is one of the two main protagonists.
• Basic information:
Full name: Sean Ferguson
Why this name?: He is of pure Irish heritage; before he was orphaned, he was a member of the Irish Travelers. His father’s family were Ulster Scots, hence the name Ferguson. I like the way it rolls off my tongue. As for the first name, Sean is the anglicization of the Gaelic Seán which comes from the Hebrew Yochanan (John) which means "God is gracious." He may not believe it yet, but he and his twin brother Kieran are very blessed to have survived and still have each other.
Gender: Male
Age: 24
Appearance: He is tall with pale, freckled skin, longer than shoulder-length red hair, and bright green eyes. Like his twin brother, he Character Profile: Sean Ferguson

Full name: Kieran Ferguson
Why this name?: He is of pure Irish heritage; before he was orphaned, he was a member of the Irish Travelers. His father’s family were Ulster Scots, hence the name Ferguson. I like the way it rolls off my tongue. As for the first name, Kieran is the anglicization of the Irish Gaelic name Ciarán which means "black." This was appropriate for several reasons; he and his twin brother have a troubled past, and their current jobs as freelance mercenaries to supernatural creatures is both shady and dangerous.
